The Master of Arts in International Relations (MAIR) is initially offered as a terminal program for those who have obtained a BA degree in related fields and wish to continue their studies, as well as mid-career officials from public and private organizations. Furthermore, MA program provides the foundations for a Ph.D. Program, which the Department intends to offer in the future.

The program is designed to be interdisciplinary, made necessary by the complexity of the field of international relations, the growing interdependence of social sciences, and the diversity of occupations that graduates are expected to confront in the public and private sectors.

Instruction is heavily oriented to interdependent study, critical thinking, debate, teamwork, and research by the students. Major emphasis is on contemporary dominant global issues and problems and the economic and political relations between the Global North and the Global South.
