Mary is interested in issues of environmental governance for sustainability. She particularly enjoys exploring the complex issues surrounding water management and has expertise in the challenges of developing equitable policies for the governance of wetlands.
She is interested in the governance of natural resources through strategies that consider the inter-connections amongst the socio-political, economic and environmental perspectives of issues towards developing equitable and sustainable solutions at appropriate spatial scales. She has particular research expertise in exploring issues of governing common-pool resources.
