Measuring the impact of CSR

From March 2010 until March 2013, the “Impact Measurement and
Performance Analysis of CSR” (IMPACT) project will break new ground in
addressing these questions across multiple levels and dimensions. Based
on an overarching conceptual framework it will combine four empirical
methods -econometric analysis, in-depth case studies, network analysis
and Delphi analysis. The project will generate hard evidence and new
insights if and how CSR impacts on sustainability and competitiveness in
the EU 27.

In what ways represents the transition to a globally sustainable economy both challenges and opportunities for the financial sector?
To what extent requires the unique combination of risk factors a
different role and approach of the financial sector? Are business
schools preparing the new generation of business leaders to deal with
these issues? And how can business schools prevent that they contribute
to an irresponsible risk appetite in a sector that facilitates one of

An Analysis of Policy References made by large EU Companies to Internationally Recognis ed CSR Guidelines and Principles

In October 2011, the European Commission adopted a new strategy on corporate social
responsibility (CSR).
The strategy places a strong emphasis on a core set of internationally
recognised CSR guidelines and principle.
As part of its strategy, the European Commission invites large enterprises to make a commitment to
take account of these instruments when developing their own policies on CSR, and announces an
intention to monitor such commitments
for enterprises with more than 1.000 employees. This paper
is part of that monitoring exercise.

Beyond Corporate Social Responsibility: Integrated External Engagement

Traditional corporate social responsibility (CSR)
is failing to deliver, for both companies and society. Executives need a
new approach to engaging the external environment. We believe that the
best one is to integrate external engagement deeply into business
decision making at every level of a company.
